Zubayer Ahmed Aditto
About Me
I'm Zubayer Ahmed Aditto. I earned my bachelor's degree in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. Admission to SUST is highly competitive, with each student competing with 54 others for a single seat. SUST is one of the most prestigious institutions in the country, and I chose IPE because of its strong job prospects—SUST IPE graduates rarely face unemployment.
However, during my time at SUST, I discovered my true passion for robotics and programming. This interest took root when I joined RoboSUST, our university's robotics club. I was an active member for four years and served as Vice President in my final year. Robotics research and competitions quickly became my primary focus, and I devoted so much time to them that my CGPA suffered as a result.
Not everything in IPE felt uninteresting, though. I particularly enjoyed courses related to Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Processes and performed well in them. However, I found management-related courses less engaging, which affected my academic performance in those areas.
One of my proudest achievements is winning 9 national awards in Line Following Robot competitions. In the highly competitive battleground of these contests, my robots consistently outperformed others. I became known for my ability to build robots that were faster, more reliable, and better optimized than those of my competitors. These achievements reflect my dedication, perseverance, and passion for innovation.
Beyond robotics, I've built strong skills in CAD design. I have extensive experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Fusion 360, which I've used to design custom parts and components for robots and other projects. These tools have been essential in transforming my ideas into reality.
Throughout my university years, I worked on numerous robotics-related projects. Some of these are shared in detail in the Portfolio section of this website.
I've always had a passion for mathematics and problem-solving. I don't give up on a problem until I solve it, which helped me achieve a 166 in the GRE Quant section. My curiosity drives me to spend hours researching topics that excite me, without ever losing interest.
Looking ahead, I'm eager to continue focusing on robotics research and contributing to innovations in this field. With my determination and passion for learning, I'm ready to take on new challenges and make a meaningful impact in the world of robotics.
